7.3 Idi Tach Not Working
If the transmission is Blinking the OD light when it's not working then it's losing it's connection before the computer, not after. I found it, it checked out ok .. Lo and behold, I start the truck, flip the "transmission" switch and the tach starts working.

- Should be just to the right of the oil filler cap if standing in front of engine and on top of the IP gear cover.
- Thats the same as rpm the sensor just a different name.

Does anyone know is this system is fused somewhere? Ford Ranger Tachometer Not Working Sign in to report inappropriate content. It jumps up around 500 rpms after going WOT but thats about it. And did push the wheel up to get the room I needed to get under the dash.
