It might be an issue with your hardware drivers if you don't get sound anywhere. So, after installing the "libflashsupport" package, the sound in Firefox flash worked again. Though I occasionally have to use the Pulse Audio volume control tool to re-select the iMic, it works consistently from everything on the system except Chrome, which basically has no audio so I compared our profiles and found the difference.
