I setup internet sharing on my laptop and connected and the issues were gone.(laptop acting as new pseudo router) I was thinking this was a possibility, but was waiting to try Hotels on the Las Vegas strip: is there a commitment to gamble? It looks like the MB and the network chipset get into a locked up state that the driver cannot reset it out. I don't know much about the AI NET BIOS tool but I believe it just checks for ethernet problems before you boot into an operating system.
