External Hard Disk Not Showing


The implication of this is that you should not trust a new hard drive completely (really never completely!) until it has been working perfectly for several months. Actually it was working properly a week ago but now when I connect it on my Lenovo laptop the sound that is connected and even the light on the hard disk I am angry... I am using a Maxtor 80gb model: 4d080h4. have a peek here

Reply Mr. I did not back up on the cloud or anywhere else. I was more fortunate in that everything on the drive was still intact (no need to recover anything). The only two available options when right click are Properties and Help.

Is there some way to change this? by just alloting drive letters to the partitions in the drive it came active. I was worried when it wasn't detected cause in the past, I read that it was corrupted paths that lead me to do a tiresome copy-paste mode in a linux OS.
